Primary Location NSW - Rockdale Job Description Summary ConnectSydney are on the search for a new Commercial Manager to join the team at our Rockdale office! About the Role ConnectSydney , a joint venture of ServiceStream , Boral , and Johnson Controls , in partnership with Transport for NSW, is entrusted with the management of the Harbour Zone. Our responsibilities encompass routine maintenance, strategic enhancements, and specialised projects aimed at bolstering Sydney's transport infrastructure. The Commercial Manager will led a team of 9 commercial staff members with varied level of experience and must oversee commercial practices, including legal, compliance, insurance, procurement, cost control, contract/project administration and reporting activities on assigned project. The Commercial Manager must ensure that all aspects pertaining to commercial and legal matters on the project are effectively implemented and contractual requirements are complied with. A key area of responsibility is the Subcontractor/Supplier management/administration and the preparation/administration of claims under the Head Contract. Key Responsibilities: Managing commercial issues in consultation with the Business Manager and Contract Manager. Managing the complexities of the SRAP Contract, as this requires careful consideration of rights and obligations in support of strategy development. Focus on in training and development of the broader team in matters pertaining to managing the head contract and subcontracts, to ensure the ConnectSydney commercial position is optimised. Implement and guide the delivery of commercial and/or contractual procedures and processes to ensure compliance and alignment with ConnectSydney SRAP contract. Evaluate and review of commercial and contractual risk analysis and mitigation strategies. Working through contract documentation with project delivery stakeholders to ensure compliance with the contract obligations. Overseas the administration of commercial aspects of subcontractor arrangements, ensuring strict compliance with established contractual arrangement Mentor and provide coaching to Senior Contract administrators and project personnel, fostering professional growth and development. Ensure continuous improvement in contract administration processes and practices. Lead initiatives to enhance contract management systems and tools, implementing best practices and innovations. Minimum of 10 years site post graduate experience in contracts administration within the construction industry or other industries as pertinent. Several years working in an administrative role and previous experience in financial reporting and budgeting.
