St Vincent's Private Hospital East Melbourne Anaesthetics/PACU is looking for a full or part time Associate Nurse Unit Manager to cover Parental Leave until mid-July 2026. The East Melbourne campus has 11 Operating Theatres and 17 PACU Bays. This is a busy and dynamic department that caters to both adult and paediatric patients. Responsibilities will include (but will not be limited to); Works closely with NUM to provide direction, support and advice to nursing & support personnel Demonstrates ability and commitment to support organisational development as directed by the NUM Liaise with the Clinical Co-ordinator and NUM to manage patient workload and staffing requirements on a shift-by-shift basis Participates & actively supports the achievement of the Unit and Organisational KPIs, Mission, Vision & Values. Ensures continuity of care for all patients, empowering team members to attain patient goals Acts as a positive role model maintaining the unit and hospital policies and procedures Constructively supports the leadership of the NUM and assumes the responsibilities of the NUM in the absence of the NUM including administrative operations The successful candidate will have; Current Nursing Registration with AHPRA Post Graduate qualifications in the relevant clinical specialty. A minimum of 4 years experience in Anaesthetics/PACU with both adult and paediatric patients. Demonstrated ability to recognise, support, develop and utilise the skill of team members and to identify staff development needs. A commitment to quality care. Experience in co-ordinating an Anaesthetics/PACU team. Well developed planning and organisational skills.
