We are currently looking for a full time permanent Graphic Designer to join our Marketing team. About us The Law Society of New South Wales works with and for the NSW legal profession. About the role The Graphic Designer delivers in-house design solutions and creative services. You will be a key custodian of the Law Society of NSW brand identity, bringing the brand to life in print, digital and motion, across various campaigns, programs, services, publications and events. What you'll be doing Work collaboratively to support the Brand and Design Manager at all stages of the design process, ensuring design solutions are delivered on-brief, on-time and on-brand. Design and produce compelling, effective and accessible design solutions, for external (solicitors, members, legal profession) and internal (staff) audiences, guided by the Brand and Design Manager and aligned with brand guidelines. Work collaboratively with the Marketing team (and cross-functionally) to support project objectives, planning and delivery. Liaise with external suppliers/vendors (as required). Adhere to team processes to ensure a consistent and efficient delivery of creative services: use Asana (project management tool) to centralise, organise and track design requests; archive artwork files following filing and naming conventions. Keep updated on emerging trends in branding, design to ensure in-house design solutions remain compelling. Assist with other duties as directed by the Brand and Design Manager. About you Tertiary qualification in graphic design or visual communication. 3–4 years of professional experience (preferably in an in-house or creative agency). Current portfolio demonstrating skills and understanding in concept development, brand, print, and digital design. Comfortable working in a corporate team environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a flexible approach, positive and friendly personality and ability to work collaboratively within a team. Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to manage a high volume of requests with competing and tight deadlines. Demonstrated ability to understand and follow established team processes. Demonstrated ability to develop concepts, from creative briefs through to delivery. Comfortable articulating and discussing conceptual ideas with stakeholders. Proven experience in following established brand guidelines. Highly proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat). Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint). Comfortable working in a macOS environment. Highly proficient in design fundamentals (typography, composition, colour, hierarchy and balance). Working knowledge of print and digital design production processes. Experience designing for social media. Basic knowledge of motion design (Essential). Experience with a digital project management tool (eg. Asana) (Desirable). Organised and pragmatic. Self-driven, solution-orientated, with a strong work ethic. A ‘can do’ attitude, with a willingness to learn and grow. About the team The Marketing team contributes both strategically and operationally to attract, retain and grow Law Society membership. This multi-disciplined team operate in a fast paced, high volume production environment and is responsible for communicating and marketing of products, services, events and other Law Society initiatives and resources to ensure a commercially viable and relevant membership association.
