Your new role Reporting the Chief Executive Officer, your new role is one of the most significant leadership roles in AW Bell overseeing the company’s largest division with a team of approximately 70 people, and expanding. You will have complete ownership of operations across; Quality, Foundry, Project Management, Special Projects, NDT, and Production Management / Precision Machining. Your key deliverables will see you: Managing sizeable production areas (foundry and machining); Quality management and strict compliance adherence; Resource management – overall performance and output, training, reviews, mentoring, goal setting / skills matrix analysis; Continuous improvement and process optimisation focused; Ensure absolute compliance of OH&S and ensure signage is visible and held to high regulatory standards; Unwavering commitment to customer service, and relationship building; Planning and scheduling of jobs, and alike; Maximising production productivity, cost to budget, staff and customer engagement and assessment of reduction to scrap and rework areas; Solution driven management style, both proactive and reactive to operational challenges as needed, any workflow problems, along with smooth coordination of final production within time restraints; Strategy development across the board and support of roll out; Foster a positive, functional team environment which enables cross departmental collaboration, and commitment to delivery of excellence; Collaborate closely with the key senior leadership team and CEO regularly; Staff training is reviewed and maintained to a high standard, particularly with all new roll outs; and Portray strong people management capabilities as you facilitate growth, and positive work culture to create high performance. Your background Engineering degree (manufacturing, mechanical, and aerospace); Casting and machining knowledge highly advantageous; Proficient in APQP including FAI, 8D, PFMEA, PFD, MSA, process capability, control plans, six sigma, lean manufacturing, SPC OEE; Management and project management certifications / additional training; Strong, proven people management experience managing in excess of 70 people in similar designated areas; Strong commitment to OH&S, alongside first aid training, certifications highly desirable; Ability to work overtime and be flexible as the job requires as you adhere to transformative operational changes as needed; and Looking for a permanent, long-term opportunity where you can work closely with the executive leadership team and continue to progress as the organisation evolves.
