We are seeking the services of an experienced Project Manager with the capabilities to lead and manage the delivery of projects within the Data & Digital Delivery Office, in the Program Services team. The Data & Digital Group provides information, computing, and communications solutions to enable the Bureau to provide the highest quality of observations, weather, climate, ocean, and hydrological products and services to Australia. The Delivery Office provides project delivery services, and this role will be key to delivering projects and programs undertaken through the Delivery Office. The role will be accountable for project planning, delivery of outputs and outcomes set out in the plan(s) and managing key activities through the project lifecycle in accordance with the Bureau Delivery Framework. The ideal candidate will work alongside other Project and IT professionals to deliver to the business outcomes. Project Managers manage end-to-end delivery of one or more assigned Information and Communications Technology projects, managing risks, issues, dependencies, changes, quality, finances, artefacts, procurements, team members, stakeholders, including all project governance requirements. Specifically, for these roles, we require Applications, Infrastructure and Property/Office technology experience. The key duties of the position include The responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to: Plan and manage the delivery of assigned projects, under a PRINCE2-based framework utilising Agile, ITIL and ADKAR methodologies in alignment with the Enterprise Portfolio Management Framework, Bureau Delivery Framework and ICT Delivery Model. Develop and manage the IT project schedule(s) ensuring management of scope in line with the project/program plan(s) and approved designs. Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, changes and quality. Manage financial tracking, forecasting and reporting for the projects including using the EPMO-endorsed project tracking tools, and represent projects for all associated project meetings. Manage and maintain project artefacts following Bureau standards and ensuring contribution to the continual uplift of governance, standards, processes and templates. Manage and co-ordinate project resources to deliver work packages and products, ensuring resource forecasting, facilitating onboarding, managing team performance and engaging all relevant parties. Coordinate the delivery of services and manage Design, Build, Testing, Transition to Operations (including GoLive Documentation), Technology Change Management, Implementation and Post Implementation Review. Liaise with relevant internal and external stakeholders as the main point of contact for all aspects of the projects, ensuring they are engaged and informed while anticipating internal/external client needs and issues. Manage procurements of hardware, software and internal/external IT services as required, ensuring appropriate resourcing and funding is available for transition and operation.
