Following an internal realignment of commercial functions, the business is now seeking a seasoned Contracts Superintendent to step into a key leadership role and take full ownership of contract strategy and execution on site. About the Role Reporting into the commercial leadership team, the Contracts Superintendent will lead and manage all site-based contracts, tendering, and procurement planning. With oversight of a substantial portfolio of current and upcoming contracts — including key service contracts with combined spend exceeding $500M over the next 3–5 years — this role requires a commercially sharp operator who is both hands-on and strategically minded. You will be responsible for improving contractor management systems, mentoring internal stakeholders on contract ownership, and negotiating outcomes that drive long-term value. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end contract lifecycle: tendering, evaluation, negotiation, execution & closeout, Implement and improve contractor management frameworks and internal contract ownership, Support scope development to reduce variation exposure and improve structure, Lead negotiation and assessment of key contractor proposals, Develop a forward-looking contracts and procurement plan (18 months horizon), Work closely with legal and commercial stakeholders on reviews and structuring, Shape the future team: input into hiring of support officers in contracts and supply. About You Strong experience in contract management within mining, construction, or infrastructure, Proven ability to manage large contract portfolios and negotiate high-value deals, Commercially astute with hands-on capability and a structured, organised approach, Confident mentoring stakeholders and driving accountability across contractor performance, Exposure to legal contract review processes is desirable.
