We are looking for an innovative and dynamic individual to lead our Urban Landscapes team. Role Overview As the Manager of Urban Landscapes, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing urban parks, reserves, and community spaces. Your strategic vision will contribute to creating sustainable, attractive areas that foster community engagement and pride. Key Responsibilities : Lead and manage planning, performance, and policies for urban landscape programs. Build and mentor a high-performing team to achieve shared goals. Effectively manage financial and human resources in accordance with council policies. Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and deliver on sustainability initiatives. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance community outcomes. Report writing. Manage a diverse team of people and look to engage with them to deliver excellent community projects. Occasional public speaking to local groups and councillors. Selection Criteria : Relevant qualifications and proven experience in urban landscape management. Extensive experience in leading diverse teams, both indoor and outdoor. Strong financial management skills, with a focus on optimising budgets. Demonstrated ability to plan, deliver, and evaluate urban landscape projects. Knowledge of sustainability practices and urban compliance requirements. A good understanding of report writing (templates provided). Experience within horticulture would be looked upon favourably. The ability to be adaptable and also down-to-earth. Ideally, you are an outdoors person! A driver's License is essential. What We Offer : A collaborative and supportive work environment.
