Introduction The Big Banana was built in 1964 as Australia’s first ‘Big Thing’ and has developed into a regional Fun Park with rides and attractions for all ages, but long before this transition, it was, still is, and will continue to be a fully operational banana plantation with 9 acres of working farm. Description The Big Banana Fun Park is seeking an experienced Banana Farmer who is motivated, hardworking and physically fit to join the team in arguably, the most famous banana plantation in the world. The successful applicant will work closely with our Plantation Manager over the 9 acre farm and packing shed and will learn of the skills and knowledge required to run a successful banana production operation. This is a casual position, with the potential to become full time Skills And Experiences The successful applicant will need to be able to: Demonstrate willingness to acquire new skills and knowledge Be hardworking and physically fit as the role requires the ability to carry heavy loads and work in a rugged environment. Be self-motivated with the ability to work alone and in small teams. Ability to work in an outdoor environment in all weather conditions and not afraid to 'get your hands dirty' Possess a sense of safety and safe work practices The applicant must have: A current drivers licence (manual vehicle experience) Full eligibility to work in Australia
