We have an exciting opportunity available for a Senior Manager Legal & Governance Operations to join the APA Legal, Governance & Regulatory team in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne on a permanent fulltime basis. Reporting to the General Counsel, the primary objective of this position is to effectively design and deliver the Legal & Governance Operations function, including the design and execution of the Legal Operations Roadmap to optimise the drive efficiency in the provision of legal services to APA. Key Responsibilities Partner with the Group Executive and General Managers to develop and execute the L&G strategy and performance plans. Support the General Counsel in delivering the Legal Transformation initiative, including governance, process, and technology enhancements. Develop and maintain reporting and metrics to measure progress against business plans, budgets, risk controls, and resourcing strategies. Drive the implementation and embedding of the Legal function’s strategic priorities and annual objectives aligned to APA’s overall strategy. Foster a positive and engaging culture within L&G through effective planning, execution, and performance monitoring. Your background Degree preferably in Business, Finance, Information Technology, Law or equivalent combination of education and professional experience Proven experience leading programs and projects driving organisational change and developing and implementing process improvement initiatives to deliver organisational efficiency. Experience in change management and transformations. Preference for experience using LEAN or Six Sigma methods. Demonstrated successful experience in managing complex legal operations projects (or related discipline) and cross functional teams. Deep understanding of legal processes, technology and industry best practices Proven record of managing budgets and financial forecasts About the Team The Legal, Governance & Regulatory function exists to support APA to manage legal risk through the delivery of independent, commercially orientated, cost effective, high quality and timely legal advice and services.
