Engineering Trades Australia is currently seeking experienced Electricians for ongoing FIFO and regional opportunities on processing plants, underground mining sites, and construction/project-based roles across Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia. In these positions, you will maintain critical fixed plant and underground electrical infrastructure across a variety of mining, processing, and construction environments. What’s in it for you? 12-hour paid shifts on 8:6 or 2:2 rosters (depending on site) Competitive hourly rates up to $78 per hour FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville, Sydney, or SE Queensland locations, plus DIDO options for Victoria-based candidates Flights, accommodation, and meals provided for FIFO roles (Note: WA role flights are unpaid travel) Opportunities to work on major mining, processing, and construction projects across Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia Experience we’re looking for: Fixed plant maintenance: motors, switchboards, variable speed drives (VSDs), mills, conveyors, crushers, lighting, testing, and tagging Underground electrical infrastructure: ventilation fans, jumbos, pumps, switchgear, HV/LV power distribution, MCCs, transformers, and other mining equipment Construction/project-based electrical experience including installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems Experience in mining, mineral processing, or construction environments preferred What is needed to be considered? Electrical Trade Qualification (Australian recognised) Relevant state electrical licence (QLD, VIC, NSW or WA) or willingness to obtain (WA role requires licence application due to no mutual recognition) Minimum 3 years’ experience in fixed plant, underground, or construction electrical roles (hard rock mining experience mandatory for WA underground role) Australian C Class Driving Licence White Card, Working at Heights, Confined Space (valid within 2 years) High Risk Licence including Elevated Work Platform (EWP) >11m Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, drug, and alcohol screen National Police Clearance (within 3 months) Immediate availability Australian working rights Why work for Engineering Trades Australia?
