We are currently seeking a Site Engineer to join Ventia’s Fixed Networks Telecommunications team in Wetherill Park, NSW. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious engineering professional to build their career while contributing to high-profile telecommunications infrastructure projects. The Role: As a Site Engineer, you’ll support the Project Engineer and project team to deliver contract scope and project deliverables safely, on time, and within budget. The role spans construction execution, financial tracking, BOQ reconciliation, and ensuring quality, safety, and compliance. Key Accountabilities Safety & Environment Promote and demonstrate a strong safety culture across site operations. Ensure corporate work safe processes and procedures are in place. Actively engage in toolbox talks and pre-starts to address safety learnings. Programme & Resource Management Monitor construction execution and report delays/issues to senior engineers. Manage and reconcile BOQs, ensuring alignment with CWPs and construction reports. Support timely delivery of Completion artefacts, CARs, and defect closures. Participate in Lessons Learnt and Innovation workshops. Finance Prepare and submit material orders to procurement. Track and reconcile materials issued to site. Process subcontractor claims with relevant substantiation for client handover. Maintain accurate redlines, registers, and ensure alignment with Novus/SAP. Support monthly financial forecasting with Project Engineer, Site Supervisor, and Project Accountant. Quality & Contract Management Maintain records of KPIs and lead indicators, analysing results and reporting to management. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and project requirements. Leadership, Culture & Values Promote a collaborative and accountable project culture. Engage with team members to ensure a fair, ethical, and inclusive workplace. Support continuous improvement initiatives and project excellence. About You Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related discipline). Experience in construction or infrastructure projects. Knowledge of cost management and finance principles. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, Index Match). Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
