Why This Role Stands Out Competitive salary: Up to $72,800 depending on experience Paid Christmas and New Year breaks Fully funded health insurance (including pre-existing conditions for employees working 20 hours/week) Relocation assistance available for eligible candidates Extra week of annual leave after 5 years long service recognition Professional development: Accredited training and career growth opportunities Staff wellbeing programmes, partner discounts, and referral bonuses Key Responsibilities Clean, disinfect, sterilise, and reprocess surgical instruments and medical equipment Operate autoclaves, ultrasonic cleaners, and other sterilisation equipment Perform testing to ensure sterilisation effectiveness Comply with infection prevention protocols and AS/NZS 4187 standards Maintain accurate records and ensure all quality checks are completed Work closely with theatre staff and other hospital departments to meet demand Contribute to safety, compliance, and continuous improvement initiatives What You’ll Need Qualifications Sterile Services Certificate (Level 3 or above) or equivalent hospital CSSD experience Experience and Skills Previous experience in a CSSD or sterile services setting (hospital or healthcare) Knowledge of sterilisation techniques, infection control, and instrument reprocessing Strong attention to detail with excellent documentation skills Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Collaborative, team-focused approach with commitment to patient safety Eligibility Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand Ready to take the next step?
