HumeLink West Project Two CIMIC Group companies, UGL and CPB Contractors have been selected by Transgrid to deliver the 130km western section of the HumeLink high voltage electricity transmission project. HumeLink is a new 500kV transmission project which will connect Wagga Wagga, Maragle and Bannaby in regional NSW that will significantly increase the capacity of the electricity network in Australia’s eastern states. HumeLink is one of Australia’s largest energy infrastructure projects, with about 365kms of proposed new transmission lines and a range of other new and upgraded infrastructure. The HumeLink West scope of works, worth $1.5bn, includes delivery of new 500Kv double circuit transmission lines spanning 130kms from Wagga Wagga Substation to a new Substation at Gugaa, the Interface Point with HumeLink East near Gundagai and a new substation at Maragle in the Snowy Mountains for future connection to Snowy 2.0. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Community Place Manager to join the HumeLink West JV project team. The position will support the community engagement programs in the project area and is responsible for managing the internal and external communications for the project. Please note this role will be based in Batlow (Snowy Valleys) area for the duration of the project supporting the HumeLink West delivery team. Relocation or FIFO will be considered for the right applicant. Key Accountabilities · Develop and implement a regular program of stakeholder contacts/liaison meetings to build a perception of trust, honesty and reliability through action · Develop and implement a systematic and user friendly complaints handling procedure, developing action plans, monitoring progress and outcomes · Understand and implement contractual requirements in relation to the community and stakeholders · Consult with the Project Team to identify and anticipate community concerns and to facilitate the priorities and requirements of the Project team About You The successful candidate will also have the following skills and experience: Previous experience on large infrastructure projects in a similar role Good communication skills including dealing with members of the public regarding a range of issues Good writing skills with the ability to prepare a wide variety of communication materials for internal and external audiences Developed organisation skills Effective time management Problem solving and conflict management abilities Team player with positive, confident approach to working with people The successful candidate will be required to hold a current Construction Industry Induction Card (White Card or equivalent) and undergo a medical assessment (including drug and alcohol testing) prior to commencement.
