SUPPORT WORKER DARLING DOWNS – TOOWOOMBA CASUAL Your next Role! As a Support Worker, you will provide support to 3 individuals in a 24-hour Supported Independent Living home in Toowoomba. Your role includes assisting with household tasks such as grocery shopping and meal preparation, cleaning tasks to maintain a healthy and safe living environment and providing positive social supports to SIL participants. No day is the same, but it may include: Supporting our clients in daily living activities and individual routines. Encouraging positive social participation and completing activities of interest with clients (craft, walking, and gardening). Completing household duties to maintain a healthy and safe living environment (including weekly menu planning and grocery shopping, meal preparation, laundry, and other cleaning tasks as required). Following mealtime management and specialised eating plans as per instructions for individual client requirements. Providing medication support and administration of medications. Completing case notes, recording information, and reporting any issues/incidents. Assisting clients to make appointments and managing clients' daily schedule. Communicating effectively with colleagues and supervisors as required. You will need: A Diploma or Certificate IV in a human service-related field or less formal qualifications with demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness. Experience working with vulnerable and disadvantaged persons and a positive attitude and towards those who are marginalised and disadvantaged. A strong sense of professional boundaries and integrity. A Valid drivers’ license and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property). Access to a smart phone to be used for work purposes. Ability to work on weekends and w illingness to do sleepovers as part of the position (a private room is provided for staff with appropriate facilities. NDIS Workers Screening or ability to acquire. Medication, CPR, and First Aide training will be highly regarded but will also be provided. Why RFQ?
