The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in procurement strategies, contract negotiation, project management, and stakeholder engagement. Responsibilities Develop and implement effective procurement strategies to support renewable energy projects, power generation systems, and major electrical infrastructure. Manage end-to-end procurement processes, including vendor selection, supplier negotiation, performance evaluation, and contract administration. Lead strategic supplier partnership initiatives to ensure quality, cost efficiency, and timely delivery. Ensure compliance with contractual terms, government regulations, and the organization’s sustainability and inclusion goals. Prepare and manage Requests for Proposal (RFPs), Requests for Quotation (RFQs), and tenders. Collaborate with internal teams including engineering, construction management, and finance to align procurement plans with project needs. Mitigate risks by identifying and solving supply chain or vendor-related issues that may impact project timelines. Develop and track performance metrics to evaluate procurement efficiency and impact. Manage procurement budgets and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality. Promote a culture of inclusion and diversity by engaging women-owned, minority-owned, and underrepresented suppliers. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Business, or a related discipline. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPM) are a plus. Experience: At least 5 years of experience with renewable energy projects, power generation, or major electrical infrastructure. Proven track record in managing procurement processes and negotiating contracts. Solid understanding of legal, financial, and operational aspects of supply and service contracts. Skills: Strong communication, problem-solving, negotiation, and planning skills. Attention to detail and analytical mindset to manage complex procurement processes. Proficiency in procurement software and systems, with familiarity in ERP systems being an asset. Values: A commitment to fostering inclusion, equality, and sustainability in supply chain management. Day-to-Day Lead supplier meetings and vendor discussions to finalize agreements, monitor compliance, and address resource gaps.
