About the role The primary purpose of the role is to provide the governance and assurance function for Health / Safety and Environment to the business by auditing against Group documents, applicable legislation and investigation outcomes to meet internal and external Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) compliance. The generation of data, review of that data, trend analysis and provision of clarity on gaps identified are key outputs from the role. The position is based in our Perth office and reports directly to our Group Health & Safety Manager. The main responsibilities of this role include: Undertake site based audits against Group documents, site documents and legislation Undertake desk top audits against Group documents, site documents and legislation at a corporate level – whole of system auditing Undertake audits of investigation actions Provide assurance to Iluka on performance in the areas of governance and auditing to validate compliance to the requirements in systems, legislation and investigations Provide HSE performance reports for regular dissemination throughout workforce Provide accurate data reports to the business to inform direction About you To be successful for this role, you will have: Qualifications in Health, Safety or Environment Formal auditing qualifications – Lead auditor as a minimum Good understanding and application of operational risk management The ability to travel to various and remote locations is essential Previous experience Auditing HSE systems and programs Operational experience in mining or heavy industry Our benefits Flexible working arrangements Ability to purchase additional Annual Leave Competitive base salary and short-term incentive program Up to 18 weeks paid parental leave Access to a state-of-the-art Gym in our Perth building, free of charge Iluka Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer and encourages Indigenous Australians and females to apply.
