As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll play a key role in designing, developing, and delivering advanced software solutions within our Agent Experience & Telephony domain. You’ll play a key role in transforming nib’s customer service and agent experience. You'll be accountable for: Architecting modern software systems in Python and Typescript/Node.js Leading the development lifecycle across design, quality, release, and production support Ensuring security, performance, and maintainability across our solutions Mentoring and managing a team of software engineers Driving continuous improvement in engineering standards and delivery practices Being a trusted voice in technical direction and thought leadership Ensuring production systems are robust, monitored, and meet SLA requirements Promoting a culture of psychological safety and learning from success and failure Let’s talk about you If you're passionate about building scalable, resilient systems, and thrive in leading high-performing teams within a cutting-edge tech environment, this role is for you. You’ll bring: Customer engagement platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Twilio, Amazon Connect) Proven experience architecting, developing, and delivering large-scale solutions Commercial experience in Typescript/Node.js and Python Strong background in cloud-native development, ideally in AWS Deep knowledge of software engineering best practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, DevOps, and secure coding Experience mentoring and guiding engineering teams Pragmatic problem-solving with strong business acumen and product thinking A passion for collaboration, inclusion, and continuous improvement Bonus points for experience with: LLMs, embeddings, vector stores, and platforms like Azure OpenAI or Amazon Bedrock Intelligent automation tools (e.g., RPA, document processing) JavaScript frameworks like React, Vue, or Angular API design and documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger) We know some people only apply when they meet every requirement.
