Introduction Council is seeking a suitably qualified applicant to fill the permanent full-time role of Carpenter. Reporting directly to the Manager Infrastructure Operations you will support Broken Hill City Council in delivering valued services to the community. You will be responsible for ensuring that the carpentry services of Council buildings and public facilities are maintained to a high standard and to provide support in asset and project planning when and if required. Description The role requires all works undertaken to be completed safely in accordance with the legislative requirements of the Workplace Health & Safety Act and associated regulations. The position is a hands-on role, within the field to achieve departmental objectives. We are seeking a highly motivated individual with strong communication and time management skills and the ability to meet set priorities. The successful candidate will require a relevant trade certificate or equivalent and have demonstrated relevant work experience.
