Why this role matters The Salvation Army (Salvos) Doorways model of care provides holistic financial support to individuals and families seeking short term financial assistance and ongoing financial management support services. The Doorways Team provide person-centred trauma informed care, facilitate short-term financial assistance, and walk side-by-side with participants as they build the skills and knowledge to break the cycle of poverty. About the role As a Senior Case Worker, this is your opportunity to support the Regional Manager by providing operational management and supervision to a team of Case Workers within a region. The position will also be required to deliver some case work to support community members to meet their goals through community partnerships, collaboration, using case management as a tool. Reporting to the Regional Manager, this is a fixed-term position offering full-time hours until (END DATE), located in Darwin NT. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the SCHADS Award, level 5. How you will make an impact Support and supervise the performance of Doorways Caseworkers ensuring they operate in accordance with Doorways Model of Care and Practice Guidelines Monitor the quality of casework practice within the region, working in conjunction with the Regional Manager and the Practice Specialists Communicate roles and responsibilities to empower employees to achieve outcomes Coach and guide case workers on difficult and complex cases with the view to build capacity and skill. Monitor performance and identify training needs, and in consultation with the Regional Manager and the respective Practice Specialist work to arrange training and address these needs What you will bring Relevant Degree qualification in Social Work, Psychology or other Community/Human Services discipline Extensive relevant experience in community services sector, including in managing teams. Experience working with people who experience trauma and/or exhibit multiple/complex service needs and/or are chronically disadvantaged A national Criminal History check is required A current and valid Working with Children’s Check (for child Facing roles) What we offer The Salvos offer eligible employee's a well-balanced package of meaningful benefits including: Salary packaging up to $15,900 tax free $2,650 meal entertainment benefit.
