Reporting to the Outbye Superintendent and the Health, Safety & Training Manager, this opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified Emergency Response Coordinator to work at Oaky Creek North Mine. In this role, you will be responsible for: Developing, implementing, and coordinating sustainable systems to manage the emergency response capability and associated activities effectively. Conducting audits and carrying out rectification work of existing and new installations to ensure compliance. Ongoing maintenance regime for all emergency response equipment, Scheduling and coordinating emergency response training and exercises. Building and developing stakeholder relationships to ensure integration of appropriate emergency services standards. Ensure adequate numbers of competent Mines Rescue Team Members are available to the mine site. About you: At Oaky Creek Coal, we hire for attitude and train for skill. As the successful Emergency Response Coordinator, you will have: A Certificate IV in Underground Coal Mining (3rd Class Deputies Ticket) ( desirable ) A comprehensive understanding of the Coal Mining Safety and Health Act 1999 & Regulation 2017 and applicable Australian Standards ( essential ) Demonstrated commitment to a high performing safety culture. Proven experience in a similar role in an underground mining environment. Ability to hold the position of appointed Fire Officer on site Attention to detail in reporting and good written/verbal communication skills.
