What you’ll do This role interacts with senior leadership teams, regional HR functions, clients, and community organisations, ensuring our DEI initiatives are contextual, impactful, and aligned with both operational needs and company goals. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of a global DEI strategy aligned with corporate objectives, ESG goals, and client expectations. Develop, track, and evaluate quantitative and qualitative DEI metrics, informing programs and reporting on impact. Conduct global trend analysis and benchmarking to ensure alignment with best practices. Ensure compliance with legislative requirements, including but not limited to the Workplace Gender Equality Agency and Disability Inclusion Acts. Advise on company policies and standards to reflect leading DEI practices. Partner with regional teams to create regionally relevant DEI action plans with measurable outcomes. Support critical programs such as inclusive recruitment, employee resource groups, and leadership development with a DEI lens. Lead initiatives to improve workforce diversity across gender equity, Indigenous employment, and other underrepresented groups. Act as a trusted partner to senior leaders, embedding DEI principles in workforce planning and business operations. Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including industry bodies and community organizations, to drive positive change. What You’ll Need to Succeed We are seeking a highly qualified professional with a tertiary degree in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field , coupled with 7 years of experience in leadership roles focused on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). Ideal candidates will have demonstrated expertise in cultural safety, gender equity, Indigenous engagement, and fostering inclusive workplace practices. Proven experience in designing and implementing global DEI strategies and systems is essential. While operational and corporate exposure is required, experience in matrixed or project-based organisations—especially within industries such as mining, construction, or engineering—is highly regarded. We value candidates with a deep understanding of best-practice DEI frameworks and trends, as well as strong project management, data analysis, and reporting capabilities. The ideal individual will possess exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels. A proactive problem-solver, you can manage ambiguity, prioritize effectively, and deliver results. The successful candidate has also shown the ability to foster long-term relationships and build extensive professional networks. A tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Social Sciences , or a related field. At least 7 years of DEI leadership experience in operational and corporate functions. Strong expertise in cultural safety, gender equity, and inclusive workplace practices. Proven success in designing and implementing global DEI strategies, policies, and systems. Experience in matrixed or project-based organisations (mining, construction, or engineering industries preferred). In-depth knowledge of DEI trends, reporting, and benchmarking frameworks. Outstanding communication and collaboration skills to influence and lead across all levels. Strong project management, analytical skills, and the ability to prioritize in complex environments. A proven ability to build and nurture professional networks and long-term relationships.
