About the opportunity Dawes seeks a Motor Underwriter to become an essential member of a high-performing team. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will assist leading the profitable growth of a Prestige Motor Insurance agency via our Broker partners. Key Responsibilities: Underwrite motor policies and determine effective pricing/policy negotiation Manage Renewals, Endorsements, and New Business opportunities to attain financial targets Maintain and exceed service level standards Follow best practices and uphold ethical and regulatory standards across the agency. Adhere to underwriting guidelines and target market determination. Liaise with brokers and business partners at company functions and Industry events. Have involvement in the Underwriter audit process Skills and Qualifications: Minimum 2 years’ experience within Insurance in Underwriting/Broking/Motor Claims Industry qualifications (minimum tier 2) or comparable industry experience Strong customer service focus with experience in intermediated distribution channels desirable Strong communication, relationship management and interpersonal skills A strong customer service focus. A willingness to learn and to use your own initiative.
