Position Responsibilities and Tasks Engage in detailed design consultations with clients and stakeholders to define functional needs, aesthetic preferences, and project objectives, creating tailored interior solutions that integrate bespoke joinery elements while meeting budget and timeline requirements. Utilise advanced design software to prepare accurate and innovative interior design concepts, drawings, and plans, incorporating custom cabinetry, fittings, and finishes in line with client specifications and industry standards. Develop comprehensive interior layouts and detailed specifications for kitchens, wardrobes, office fit-outs, and other joinery-based spaces, ensuring optimal space utilisation, aesthetic appeal, and functionality. Prepare and coordinate all required project documentation, including material schedules, finishes specifications, and technical drawings, ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and quality requirements. Collaborate closely with workshop, installation, and construction teams, as well as architects and contractors, to ensure design intent is accurately realised during manufacturing and installation. Oversee the selection and coordination of complementary materials, finishes, colours, and fittings to achieve cohesive and functional interior environments. Produce professional project presentations, proposals, and reports to effectively communicate design concepts, detailing, and implementation plans to clients and stakeholders. Maintain organised records of design concepts, revisions, and project documentation to support efficient workflow, quality control, and project delivery. Qualifications and Skills: At least a Diploma on Interior Design. Proven experience of at least one year as Interior Designer, preferably within joinery manufacturing or fit-out company. Proficiency in industry-standard design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar CAD-based applications. Strong knowledge of joinery design principles, manufacturing processes, and installation requirements. Understanding of building codes, accessibility standards, and Australian interior design regulations. High-level spatial planning, conceptual design, and technical drawing skills. Salary: The role offers a remuneration package of $80,000 - $95,000 per annum, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
