Reporting to the Program Leader – Compliance and IMS, this position is responsible for working with operational teams within the W&W Directorate to collect and analyse data, interface with regulatory and government agencies and perform legislative and administrative research, analysis and reporting. To be successful in this position, you will: Have a caring attitude, paired with a positive work ethic and demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively as part of a team to reach a shared goal. Minimum three (3) years’ experience in a similar role, preferably within the areas of water, wastewater and/or waste. Highly developed analytical thinking with the ability to identify, analyse, improve and streamline complex work processes. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail is non-negotiable. Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to build rapport and maintain effective working relationships, teamed with the ability to communicate appropriately both verbally and in writing. Well-developed ability to deal with difficult situations, clearly articulate issues, negotiate outcomes and resolve problems, with an attitude to take personal responsibility for promptly handling and resolving workplace tasks. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Environmental Science, Safety, Compliance, Administration or a relevant field will be highly regarded. This position will be required to frequently travel to different sites across the Isaac region and participate in an on-call roster.
