Description Working closely within the operations team, we require a highly organised and proactive Operations Administrator. In this pivotal role, you will provide vital administrative and operational support with the planning, resourcing and overseeing of the stevedoring operations at the Port of Brisbane. This position is a unique role responsible for customer relations, ongoing reporting and safe achievement of operational KPIs. It also involves continuous learning in areas such as planning and rostering to support future career development. Skills And Experiences Key Responsibilities Maintain accurate information and records. Receive and direct incoming telephone calls. Provide administrative assistance and undertake miscellaneous errands as required. Ensure that reports are completed within prescribed timeframes. Continue to engage workforce at all levels through regular communications and participating in team meetings. Assist with providing resources, equipment, materials and facilities for the safe and quality performance of work across all sections. Assist with all functions under supervision operate in accordance with health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of employees, contractors and visitors. Promptly report hazards and incidents through correct processes and take immediate corrective action where appropriate. Essential skills & Experience Current Drivers’ Licence. Some experience within the stevedoring, logistics, consumer or food industry is desirable. Ability to obtain a MSIC Card. Acquire and/or maintain knowledge of the following: Sound practical knowledge of the shipping industry is desirable. Familiarisation of Port operations and laws pertaining to safe use.
