As the Events and Sponsorship Coordinator, you’ll be at the heart of UQ’s student engagement strategy, designing and delivering flagship events like UQ Open Day and Career Pulse. You’ll manage the full event lifecycle, from planning and execution to post-event evaluation, while also coordinating sponsorship and brand partnership activities that elevate UQ’s presence and impact. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, facilitate working groups, and ensure alignment with UQ’s brand messaging. This is a dynamic role that blends creativity, strategy, and operational excellence. Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Coordinating planning, delivery and review of major student recruitment events. Managing sponsorship requests and ensuring UQ’s contractual deliverables are met. Facilitating stakeholder engagement and leveraging sponsorships for brand and content opportunities. Foster collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers for successful event delivery. Experience in managing sponsorship relationships, including coordinating contractual obligations. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders, including students, faculty, staff, sponsored organisations, and external parties. Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships that contribute to the success of events and sponsorship initiatives. Ability to bring creative and innovative ideas to the planning and execution of events to enhance the overall experience for attendees including a demonstrated capacity to think strategically and propose novel solutions to challenges in events and sponsorships. A degree in marketing, event management or a related discipline combined with significant experience in marketing and events within a large organisation; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. A current Queensland driver’s licence. The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including: right to work in Australia.
