Seasonal Casual Positions $36.85 per hour Summer Pool Season commences October 2025 Increased work December – February 2025/2026 The Role We are seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic, confident and energetic individuals to undertake duties as casual Learn to Swim Instructors for our swimming centre at Richmond during the 2025/2026 pool season. These positions are casual positions and candidates will be required to work shifts in Term 4 (if you are successful for the Learn to Swim position and also an HSC student, you have the option to commence immediately following your exam completion), otherwise the swimming program will begin in early October 2025. Essential Criteria for the role Demonstrated assertive and confident demeanor, with the ability to hold children’s attention to effectively teach a learn to swim class Experience working or engaging with Children Current Austswim Accreditation or equivalent Current CPR Certificate (or willing to obtain at own expense) Current Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain at own expense) Minimum 17 years old as of 1st October 2025 Willingness to commit to working 2025 - 2027 summer seasons at Richmond pool on a casual basis Desirable Bronze Coaching Accreditation & Current A.S.C.T.A membership First Aid Certificate Previous experience as pool lifeguard / learn to swim instructor Duke of Edinburgh – Participation in the award scheme and/ or completion of Bronze Award highly regarded The Rewards Great working environment Flexible work Training and Development Opportunity Employee Reward and Recognition program Employee Assistance Program for employees and their family To Apply For further position details, including the selection criteria and how to apply, visit our website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au Expressions of interest close Sunday, 31st August 2025 Applicants who do not address the selection criteria may not be considered for this position.
