The Role: We are seeking a dedicated Quality Control Officer to join our client's citrus harvest team in Emerald, QLD. This role is critical to maintaining the highest standards of fruit quality throughout the harvest season. You will conduct field inspections, assess fruit condition, monitor picker performance, and communicate findings to ensure quality expectations are met from the orchard to the packing shed. What You'll Do: As a Quality Control Officer, you will be responsible for: Conducting regular field inspections across citrus blocks during harvest Assessing fruit quality based on size, colour, blemishes, ripeness, and any signs of damage or disease Monitoring picker performance and ensuring proper fruit handling and selection Accurately recording and reporting quality data in a timely manner Communicating non-compliance or quality issues to Harvest Supervisors and assisting with corrective actions Providing on-the-spot feedback and training to pickers as needed Liaising with logistics and packing shed teams to ensure end-to-end quality consistency Identifying and reporting pest, disease, or environmental concerns observed during inspections Safely driving between orchard blocks using farm vehicles Maintaining all necessary records and reports for farm management Benefits: Attractive pay and working hours Hands-on experience with citrus harvesting 45 - 50 hours per week, subject to weather conditions Your Skills and Experience: To be considered for the role, you will need: Experience in citrus harvest Strong reliability and punctuality Good physical fitness and health to handle outdoor conditions Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
