Prospective applicants must have good prior experience of working commercially as an Indian chef. Duties include. We are Busy Indian Restaurant in Newcastle and serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. We have a current chef and looking to addon new Chef to team for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner services. Below are the some tasks but not limited to: Preparing various food items from the restaurant’s menu that includes vegetarian, no vegetarian and seafood dishes. Monitor the kitchen staff during the Pre-cooking preparations. Supervise the kitchen staff during all stages of food preparation. Planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies. Plan rosters and train new staff Maintaining the standards of kitchen sanitation and enforcing hygiene regulations to all kitchen staff. planning menus, estimating food and labour costs, and ordering food supplies monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation discussing food preparation issues with Managers, Dietitians and kitchen and waiting staff demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures preparing and cooking food explaining and enforcing hygiene regulations may select and train staff may freeze and preserve foods In Return, for your commitment and skills, you will receive a competitive salary package 77K-80K (Plus Super) depend upon experience and receive ongoing training with the opportunity to develop your skills. Applicants with formal qualifications (AQF Diploma of Hospitality) and 2 years of practical experience working as an Indian CHEF will be prioritised. Position is available full time, 38 hours/week but applicant must be available for 7 days/week and willing to work odd hours (Weekend, public holidays & late shifts).
