Overview Travel Beyond Group is a dynamic and innovative company with ambitious growth plans. As part of a high-performing finance team, the Accountant plays a critical role in ensuring financial accuracy, operational efficiency, and compliance. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you’ll manage day-to-day accounting operations across five business units and seven offices in Australia and New Zealand. Your expertise will help maintain financial integrity, deliver insightful reporting, and support strategic decision-making as TBG continues to expand. Your Role & Impact: As our Accountant, you will be responsible for: Financial Operations: Prepare and process month-end journals, including standing journals and accruals. Process overhead accounts payable invoices and complete bank reconciliations. Review the Tramada Client Trust Account and clear reconciling items. Reconcile Xero general ledger balance sheet accounts and credit card statements. Reporting & Compliance: Prepare monthly management accounts for Events Beyond Group and NZ, including P&L and balance sheet reports. Compile Australian and NZ statutory accounts. Reconcile unearned revenue liability by client/event at month-end. Payroll & Employee Records: Maintain employee payroll data in Xero, including personal, payroll, and superannuation details. Process fortnightly payrolls for Australia and New Zealand, including leave management. Lodge monthly payroll data with the ATO via single touch payroll. Prepare annual payroll tax returns, payment summaries, and reconcile wages accounts. Qualifications : Tertiary qualifications in Accounting. 3 years’ experience in a similar accounting role. Strong analytical, organisational, and multi-tasking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Proactive and solutions-focused, with the ability to work under pressure. Experience with Tramada and Xero is highly regarded. Characteristics Detail-oriented and thorough, with a commitment to accuracy. Collaborative team player with a positive mindset.
