As Director, you will lead the strategic growth and operational excellence of the Improvement Academy, working closely with the CEO and team to expand its reach and influence both domestically and internationally. You'll design and deliver cutting-edge training programs, build a world-class faculty, and shape the future of healthcare education through innovative formats like eLearning, podcasts, and interactive workshops. About the Role Reporting to the CEO, you will: Develop and execute growth strategies to expand the Academy's reach nationally and internationally Design and deliver innovative training programs for hospitals, aged care, community health, and NGOs Lead the development of virtual learning, eLearning, podcasts, and face-to-face workshops Build and manage a high-performing Faculty and staff team Negotiate custom training solutions with healthcare organisations Ensure continuous improvement through data-driven evaluation and feedback Represent ACHS at conferences and external meetings What We're Looking For Proven leadership in healthcare education, quality improvement, or patient safety Strong strategic planning and business development skills Experience in designing and delivering impactful training programs Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities A passion for innovation and continuous learning Qualification in a health-related discipline, quality & safety or quality improvement Experience in developing mixed method education programs (virtual and face to face) to healthcare professionals including ability to develop self-paced eLearning, virtual interactive training programs, using Zoom and Teams, face to face workshops and new delivery formats Digital education skills including understanding of Learning management systems Knowledge of safety and quality programs in hospitals and healthcare services Strategic Planning for an education program Project management to deliver on time and on budget Overseeing evaluation of training programs Contract negotiations with external suppliers Ability to build and expand the Improvement Academy Faculty Experience working with external subject matter experts to develop new content Ability to build collaborative networks with Australian and International experts Excellent facilitation and communication skills (written and oral) including public speaking Experience in budgeting & cost management Proven experience in leading teams and building staff capability Understanding of the concepts of accreditation and regulatory frameworks for healthcare, including hospitals, aged care and disability sectors. Knowledge of Clinical Governance and the Australian National Standards for Safety and Quality in Healthcare Services Qualifications in education Experience with working collaboratively with health care professionals Clinical experience or insight into frontline healthcare challenges Ready to shape the future of healthcare improvement?
