About the Role Reporting to the Manager Biosecurity and Emergency Services, you will be responsible for leading a team of biosecurity professionals in the operational delivery of pest animal programs, travelling stock reserve management and emergency responses across the Central Tablelands region. Specific deliverables include: Oversee core services budget and work with other teams to deliver invasive species programs Leading our regional strategic plan development and implementation for pest animals in the Central Tablelands region Engaging a geographically dispersed and technically skilled team to implement pest animal control programs in partnership with landholders and other stakeholders Applying continual improvement strategies to drive innovation and change into control programs to improve efficiency and effectiveness. About You Our ideal candidate will have well developed people management skills, be able to inspire direction and purpose in your team, be able to deliver results and coordinate a range of projects and associated responsibilities. What you need to do this role; Tertiary qualifications in a discipline relevant to the primary industries portfolio and/or equivalent experience in leadership and management of services to primary industries Strong leadership skills with the ability to drive change Have an understanding of the economic and environmental impact of pest animals on land use Be an effective communicator with the ability to engage stakeholders and staff in new control program Have previous experience in program level strategy development, operational plans & budget management Ability to encourage and promote your team whilst being able to critically review program effectiveness and implement problem solving and innovation processes to achieve higher level outcomes Have a current NSW Driver License and the ability and willingness to travel Applying is easy!
