We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Power Connections Manager to join us in our Power & Electricity Transmission team Brisbane, QLD on a Permanent Full Time Contract. Reporting to the Head of Power Strategy, Growth & Optimisation, you will be responsible for overseeing commercial and contractual obligations to ensure full compliance and alignment with business objectives. Managing connection agreements and grid access for power and HVDC assets, leading stakeholder engagement, optimising agreement performance, and supporting commercial and regulatory activities to ensure efficient and compliant transmission outcomes Key Responsibilities Manage APA’s strategic relationships with network service providers, market operators, and regulatory bodies to support efficient grid access and compliance. Lead the coordination and delivery of new power connections—including generation (solar, wind, thermal) and consumption (industrial, commercial, residential)—ensuring technical and commercial requirements are met. Oversee connection agreements, ensuring they align with operational goals, commercial terms, and regulatory obligations. Act as the key interface between stakeholders, market services, and internal teams to streamline connection processes and resolve issues. Support commercial negotiations, regulatory submissions, and network planning activities related to grid connections. Monitor connection compliance, manage agreement lifecycles, and proactively mitigate risks and disputes throughout the connection process. Your Background Strong technical and commercial background in transmission, power systems or equivalent industry Strong experience in managing grid connections within the energy sector, particularly across generation and large-scale user projects. Proven track record working with network service providers, market operators and regulatory bodies. Skilled in negotiating, executing, and managing complex connection agreements. In-depth understanding of regulatory frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry standards for power connections. Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, with a focus on delivering efficient, commercially sound connection outcomes.
