About the Position Girton Grammar School is seeking an experienced English Language Teacher to develop and deliver high-quality lessons, to maintain and build on our academic success. This is a full-time and ongoing teaching position starting in January 2026. Part-time applications will also be considered. Your primary responsibility will be teaching English Language to VCE and 7-10, helping students to develop a passion for the subject, whilst developing their skills in both reading and writing. You will engage students in critical thinking, discussion, and analysis, fostering a deep understanding of the subject and its real-world applications As the English Language teacher, you will deeply understand current research-based pedagogies and have a proven ability to apply them to the English Language curriculum. You will design a rigorous and robust curriculum that embeds cognitive load theory, explicit instruction, and the Science of Learning. As the English teacher, you will have a proven ability to write and deliver an outstanding English curriculum.
