The company is based in North-West Sydney. Due to the business expansion, they are now seeking to employ full time Cleanroom/packaging staff. This opportunity is located in Sydney's North West. THE POSITION The Clean Room worker is a member of the team who carry out allocated tasks as required and completes them within the requested time frame and to the requested quality. The objective of this role is to clean, assemble and package our medical devices and implementation kits to customer specification and regulatory compliance for the manufacture of medical devices in accordance with organization policies and procedures and Australian Medical Device Regulations, ISO 13485 and/or other relevant statutory requirements. Our cleanroom, is class 7. A cleanroom is a controlled environment where products are manufactured. It is a room in which the concentration of airborne particles is controlled to specified limits. Eliminating sub-micron airborne contamination is really a process of control. These contaminants are generated by people, process, facilities and equipment. They must be continually removed from the air. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Clean and assemble medical devices and medical implementation kits Cleaning is an essential element of contamination control. Cleaning of all work surfaces in the controlled environment. Emptying of appropriate trash and waste. Cleaning of the doors, door frames and lockers in the pre-staging area and gowning areas using the approved cleaning solution. Mop gowning and clean-room floors. Packaging of products for shipping Clean room technicians must perform these tasks wearing full clean room gowns, hair nets and surgical face masks. Follow strict ISO 13485 requirements. Clean room garments must be worn at all times. It is important to know the local garment requirements of the clean-room management. Gloves, face masks and head covers are standard in nearly every clean-room environment. Smocks/jumpsuits to be used as required. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: At least 3 to 5 years' experience in working in a clean-room facility. Knowledge of clean-room equipment such as "washing and internal packaging equipment. Ability to work on own initiative and also as part of a team. Prepared to work shift. High School education or equivalent is preferred but not essential. Background experience as a process worker in a manufacturing/production setting of medical devices Experience with quality systems is an asset Knowledge of basic computer skills Ability to read and comprehend written rules, policies and procedures High Attention to detail, accuracy and speed Ability to work in a team environment with little supervision Visa Sponsorship For this position, visa sponsorship is NOT available.
