Your role at St John of God Burwood Hospital You will provide day-to day engineering activities and maintenance services for Burwood Hospital; ensuring compliance requirements and designated timeframes are met. The Facilities Coordinator ensures a safe, comfortable and attractive environment is maintained and is consistent with St John of God Health Care policies and complies with necessary statutory regulations and legislation. The role has a direct reporting relationship to the Facilities Manager. The Position Liaise with the contracted service providers; ensuring the contracted tasks are completed correctly and on time. Ensures in collaboration with the Facilities Manager all buildings, plant, equipment and surroundings are maintained to all statutory and accreditation standards. Ensures in collaboration with the Facilities Manager all buildings and plant, are maintained in accordance with such regulations governing Health care establishments in NSW. Assumes responsibility for manufacturer’s service manual specifications, Burwood vehicles, pest control management and contractor management. Provides after hours emergency support to the hospital re maintenance type issues when on-call. Assumes direct responsibility for the safety of electrical equipment, including patients electrical appliances/equipment submitted for checks to maintenance by clinical staff. Successful applicants will hold a technical/trade certificate in electrical, plumbing or metal work and/or extensive working experience in Facility Management in commercial, hospital or Health Care establishments. You will require an NSW drivers licence and a Workcover NSW Workplace Health and Safety General Induction White Card.
