TTW - Engineering a Better Tomorrow Together Description The Opportunity: Façade Engineer Melbourne We’re looking for a passionate Façade Engineer with 2–5 years’ experience to join our growing team and help shape the skyline. In this role, you’ll work alongside our local and national team of façade engineers and consultants to design and deliver high-performance building façades across a range of sector – including public, education, commercial, and living. You’ll be involved in from concept to construction in everything from material selection, structural detailing and sustainability considerations to shop drawing reviews and construction services. Use knowledge and initiative to implement new approaches to complex engineering/design problems Be responsible for preparation of façade design and sketch detailing. Execute the designs of façade systems and details. The ability to execute and manage drawings/ document control using various related platforms such as Aconex for example. Coordinate and liaise with drafters, designers and engineers Liaise with clients and architects on the preparation and coordination of documentation, under the guidance of Senior engineers. Competently convey façade designs which can be interpreted by architects and builders. Skills And Experiences Who are we looking for : This role is ideally suited to someone with: Bachelor’s Degree of Engineering, Architecture or equivalent Minimum 2-5 years’ relevant experience in a similar role in façade consulting or engineering business. Good understanding of BCA and relevant Australian Standards. Strong understanding and working knowledge of FEA (such as Strand7), and similar engineering processes. Knowledge in façade performance requirements (such as weatherproofing and thermal performance) Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
