About the Role We are looking for an experienced event professional to join the St Kilda Festival team to assist with the delivery of the 2026 St Kilda Festival. This role is responsible for the engagement of both itinerant and local traders for activations produced and permitted by the Arts, Festivals and Events team. This will also include managing their participation to ensure operational compliance of the St Kilda festival trader engagement. Manage the financial implications of trader outcomes and issue permits for approved traders. Duties: Engage local traders, including strategy creation, engagement permitting and licensing Oversight of on-site vending at the festival, including review or opportunities and procurement of an external provider Build strong working relationships with both internal and external key stakeholders Work effectively in a dynamic team environment Skills and Experience The ability to self-manage workloads, communicate clearly and work effectively in a dynamic team environment Demonstrated experience in stakeholder and community engagement Excellent communication, problem solving and negotiations skills, both written and oral Experience in local government or similar environment Event management experience, including specific experience in hospitality provision or permitting Culture People enjoy working at the City of Port Phillip because we are a welcoming, healthy and inclusive workplace.
