The Role As a Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the Power. Forming part of a skilled and high performing team, you will have the support of a progressive and experienced management team and be exposed to a variety of interesting and challenging work environments. This role is a casual position at various major Power Station outages within the Lake Macquarie and Hunter Valley, NSW region with potential for ongoing project / shutdown opportunities for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities: Assisting NDT Technicians and Inspectors to conduct required inspections and testing of plant and machinery Documenting findings in a clear and concise format following instruction work packs Conduct replications of metallic surfaces in accordance with SRG procedures This position may require interstate and intrastate travel The successful applicant will ideally have: Hold an industry White Card Working at Heights, Confined Spaces and Gas Test Atmosphere (required) Experience working in mining, industrial or power settings (advantage) Previous experience within Manufacturing, Mechanical and Automotive trades (desirable) A high attention to detail, ability to follow direction and adhere to Work Health and Safety regulations Have the ability to work effectively within a team with strong communication skills and a willingness to challenge yourself and learn The ability to successfully pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug & Alcohol Screening We Offer: Competitive rates Start dates from early September 2025, running until approximately mid-November 2025 (pending pre-employment checks) Monday to Saturday roster / 10 hour shift pattern / 6 shifts per week / day and night shifts available This position may require interstate and intrastate travel About Us SRG Global is a diversified industrial services company.
