Clinical Nurse - Peel Region Permanent Part time 8 day fortnight AM shifts This includes 1 weekend a fortnight $52 - $60 super salary packaging Suitable for Senior RN/Lead RN in Charge, Clinical Nurse and Clinical Team Lead The Role: Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments of residents' health and functional status. Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans in consultation with residents, families, and the care team. Administer and manage medications in line with legal and organisational requirements. Provide advanced wound care, catheter care, and palliative care as needed. Monitor changes in residents' conditions and respond promptly to health deterioration. Support residents' dignity, autonomy, and cultural preferences in all care activities. Oversee and guide Enrolled Nurses (ENs) and Personal Care Assistants (PCAs). Delegate clinical tasks appropriately and ensure safe care practices. Mentor and educate junior nursing staff in best-practice aged care. Conduct competency assessments for team members. Liaise with GPs, allied health professionals, and specialists for resident care. Communicate effectively with residents' families regarding care needs and progress. Ensure accurate handovers between shifts and documentation of all clinical events. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with Aged Care Quality Standards. Participate in audits, incident reporting, and continuous improvement programs. Ensure infection prevention and control practices are adhered to. Follow workplace health and safety protocols to protect residents and staff. Keep up to date with best practices, policies, and aged care regulations. Participate in training and contribute to in-service education sessions. Support accreditation and compliance processes.
