The Role We are seeking an enthusiastic Beekeeper to join our client's operation in Yass, NSW. This is an exciting opportunity to work with highly experienced 3rd and 4th generation beekeepers who are eager to pass on their wealth of knowledge and skills. What You'll Do As a Beekeeper, you will be required to carry out (but not limited to) the following: Harvest and extract honey Inspect colonies for diseases, apply treatment, and manage colony health Engage in honeybee breeding and genetics improvement programs Transport beehives and equipment as required Manipulate and maintain honeybee colonies to optimise honey production and health Use Agritech technologies and software for beekeeping operations Work alongside and learn from experienced generational beekeepers Travel extensively to regional and remote locations, sometimes sleeping in a swag Benefits: Good pay rate and hours.
