With strong demand and continued growth, they are now seeking an experienced Purchasing Officer to join their Dandenong South team. About the Role Reporting to the Group Procurement and Logistics Manager, this full-time, office-based role (Monday to Friday) will see you coordinate purchasing activities across six manufacturing sites nationally. You'll work closely with suppliers, internal teams, and production to ensure materials are delivered on time and in full, keeping operations running smoothly and efficiently. Hours: Spread between 7.30am and 5.30pm Salary: $110K-$120K super Key Responsibilities Source materials, negotiate pricing, and manage supplier relationships Raise and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery Monitor stock levels and maintain accurate inventory records Coordinate deliveries and transport schedules with internal teams Collaborate with production and warehouse teams to forecast material requirements Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs What We're Looking For Minimum 10 years' experience in purchasing or logistics (preferably in manufacturing, construction, or value-added sectors) Strong negotiation and supplier management skills Understanding of sourcing strategies, RFQs, RFPs, and tendering processes Excellent attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities Experience in inventory control, supplier performance tracking, and spend analysis Proactive, hands-on approach with strong teamwork skills Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills ( pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP , conditional formatting, data validation, etc.) Someone looking to grow into the role and become part of the workplace culture Ideally in their 30s, with experience in a small-to-medium business environment (not large corporates like BlueScope) Gender is not a requirement, though based on current team dynamics, a female candidate may be well-suited Why Join Our Client?
