About the Role: Our State Government client is looking for an experienced AO3 Client Service Officer to join the team on a temporary basis. Based in Townsville and starting ASAP, the role will be for an initial duration of 3 months with possible extension. Working 38 hours per week, the casual hourly rate will be $50.37 plus super. In this role, you will handle a high volume of inbound and outbound calls, engaging with clients to provide accurate information, resolve queries, and update internal systems. You will be required to remain calm and professional when managing challenging conversations, using effective de-escalation and problem-solving techniques. The position involves working collaboratively within a team, maintaining service standards, and using a range of digital tools and software including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Teams) . Key Skills and Experience: Solid experience within a Contact Centre setting; Strong communication, active listening, and customer service skills; Confident handling difficult conversations and managing conflict; Well-developed time management, multitasking, and decision-making abilities; Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; and Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take on feedback.
