With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Cytology Scientist Grade 3 to join the Anatomical Pathology team.    About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.      About the Role: To provide advanced expertise in non-gynaecology cytology.  The role is responsible for delivering a high-quality diagnostic service, ensuring compliance with accreditation and regulatory standards, and contributing to the continuous improvement of the department.  Actively participating in quality assurance, day to day supervision of the department, technical and scientific staff training, ongoing professional development, innovation and collaboration.  Participating in a rotating roster with a variety of shifts including mornings, afternoons and weekends based on the departmentâs requirements may form part of this position      To be successful in this role you will have:  A minimum of 8 years relevant previous experience in a Non-Gynae Cytology laboratory preferably GX laboratory setting. A degree in Applied/biological Science (Medical Science) or equivalent. Overseas qualifications must be Australian Institute of Medical Scientists (AIMS) assessed. CTASC Demonstrated experience in attending ROSE for radiological procedures, non-gynaecolgoical preparation, screening and report writing. Demonstrate ability to train, supervise, mentor, and educate technical and medical staff.
