Who are we looking for? We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Mechanical Engineer (Defence) with experience in defence aviation. If you are solution-oriented, collaborative, and passionate about engineering, you’ll thrive in this role. Your Role Key responsibilities include: Design, test, and maintain mechanical components and systems for defence applications. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure compliance with specifications and safety standards. Provide technical support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement solutions. Prepare and maintain documentation, reports, and technical drawings. The Essential Requirements Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering. 3 years’ experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in defence aviation sector. Eligible to obtain or currently hold Defence security clearance . Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical skills. Ability to work collaboratively and independently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Important: Due to Defence security clearance requirements , only Australian citizens are eligible for these roles. Additional Qualifications Experience with aircraft components, turbine engines, or aerospace systems is highly desirable. Availability to work at Amberley is preferred. What’s in it for you?
