Retail Sector | Sydney (Hybrid) Our client, a leading name in retail, is seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to join their team on a contract basis. You will play a key role in fabricating infrastructure, driving cost-reduction initiatives, and supporting critical website and mobile applications that operate at massive scale. What You’ll Be Doing Fabricate and optimise infrastructure, ensuring scalability and reliability Deliver upgrades in Azure and manage Kubernetes clusters (including decommissioning where required) Work with Elastic Search, .NET, Terraform , and related tooling Migrate monitoring tools with experience in both Dynatrace and AppInsights , ensuring improved observability and reduced costs Create dashboards and set up priority alerts to enhance system visibility Engage with developers and stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new practices Support highly complex and large-scale systems, where downtime has significant financial impact What We’re Looking For Proven experience as an SRE or similar role in large, complex environments Strong expertise with Azure , Kubernetes , and infrastructure-as-code ( Terraform ) Experience with Dynatrace and migrating from AppInsights Familiarity with Elastic Search and .NET environments Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, able to influence and bring developers on board with change initiatives Prior experience in large-scale environments where resilience and cost efficiency are critical
