ConsultANZ is seeking a National Health & Safety Manager to join a well-known ground engineering company in Sydney. This role involves managing health and safety for piling, retaining wall, and ground improvement projects in civil infrastructure, working with a skilled and supportive team. Main Duties Lead health and safety across multiple construction sites. Review, implement, and enforce H&S policies, systems, and compliance standards. Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks. Act immediately to stop unsafe acts and promote a proactive safety culture. Investigate incidents, compile detailed reports, and maintain ICAMS records. Oversee subcontractor H&S compliance and documentation. Support risk assessments, hazard identification, and emergency planning. Requirements 10 years’ H&S experience in construction, civil works, or specialist subcontractor sectors. Certificate in Health & Safety (degree not required). Proven site-based engineering background with strong H&S expertise. Piling project experience preferred but not essential. Large-scale, multi-site project management experience. Proactive, decisive, and confident in safety interventions. Strong reporting, investigation, and communication skills. Familiarity with ICAMS or similar safety systems. Must hold a valid driver’s licence. Benefits Competitive salary: $130K–$160K super car allowance (depends on experience).
