About the Role This is a hands-on role that blends proactive, strategic candidate sourcing and recruitment expertise with occasional broader HR generalist responsibilities. It’s ideal for TA professionals also looking to grow their HR generalist skills without losing touch with their talent acquisition strengths. You’ll work closely with hiring managers and teams across the business to attract and hire exceptional talent, and ensure new hires are supported and set up for success from day one. You’ll also support the broader people agenda like onboarding, employee engagement, performance, policies, and people ops. You won’t be on your own, you’ll be joining a dynamic, hands-on team that’s got your back from day one. Key responsibilities include: Talent Acquisition Execute end-to-end recruitment for a range of roles (tech, product, engineering, sales, marketing, etc.) Partner with hiring managers to scope roles, write job ads, and execute hiring plans Manage job postings, direct sourcing, screening, interview coordination, reference and police checks Drive inclusive hiring practices and support employer branding efforts Build talent pipelines and contribute to workforce planning Ensure a positive, consistent candidate experience at every stage Provide guidance and support to leaders new to the recruitment process. Owns the execution of splose’s recruitment and onboarding processes. People Partnering Involved across the entire employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on talent acquisition activities based on business demand. Provide first-line HR support and advice to managers and employees Support performance and feedback cycles, including probation reviews Help implement and maintain people policies, procedures, and systems Collaborate on engagement and wellbeing initiatives Contribute to projects such as HRIS implementation, employee engagement initiatives, policy development and implementation. Qualifications At least seven years of relevant recruitment experience within the software industry and functional understanding of the competitive landscape Experience in Talent Acquisition and deep sourcing experience in areas such as Technology, Software Engineering, Product development/design, Marketing, and Sales in AU. A bonus and advantage would be experience recruiting in US and the UK. Proven experience managing end-to-end hiring in fast-paced environments, with strong candidate sourcing in Tech or Allied Health. Some understanding of Australian employment law and HR best practices Deep interest and willingness to be involved and contribute in all areas of human resources. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable navigating ambiguity Experience in a startup or scale-up environment is highly desirable Tech-savvy and experienced with HRIS and ATS platforms; familiarity with tools like Google Workspace, Slack, and Confluence is a strong advantage.
