Role Summary: We are seeking a Full-Time dedicated and experienced Chef to join our team in our 35 bed Millrace residents. The Chef will be responsible for creating varied, nutritious, and appetizing meals that meet the individual needs of our residents, including special diets, and are aligned with the Aged Care Quality Standards. You will play an important role in maintaining a strong sense of home through meal service. Key Responsibilities: Create, prepare and serve nutritious, appetizing meals. Engage with residents to understand and cater to their dietary preferences and needs. Participate in menu planning and discussions, ensuring meals are aligned with the Australian dietary guidelines for older adults. Ensure compliance with food safety standards (HACCP) and regulatory requirements. Collaborate with the catering team to deliver safe and high-quality food services. Manage special diets, including texture-modified meals, in accordance with best practices. Monitor food costs to stay within budget. Supervision of Cooks and Kitchen Staff. What’s in it for you? Current and acceptable Police Certificate. Ability to work collaboratively with the team and engage positively with residents. Compassion and Empathy. Unlimited working rights in Australia – MANDATORY. Chef/Cook experience in an Aged Care setting. Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
