HAYLO People are a specialist recruitment agency within the personal injury, safety & insurance industry and we are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor to lead safety across a portfolio of sites within the construction and agricultural sectors. The Opportunity – Construction Safety Advisor (Cowra) This is an exciting opportunity to join a major construction program in Cowra and surrounding greenfield sites, where the business is investing heavily in building new sheds, upgrading older facilities, and managing multiple large-scale projects. With three major construction zones underway, including the installation of 400 shipping containers over the next three months, this role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to be right at the forefront of a full-on site build. Cowara-based, you’ll play a key role in ensuring contractor and site safety while supporting the delivery of safe, compliant, and efficient construction projects. With around 80 contractors on site, including multiple specialist building teams, your focus will be on inspections, mentoring leaders, managing risks, and keeping safety front of mind as new facilities take shape. What You’ll Do Oversee WHS compliance across three major construction zones and associated greenfield projects Conduct site inspections, monitor contractor safety, and ensure compliance with GSCAs Support incident investigations, corrective actions, and reporting Maintain WHS data, risk registers, and documentation Mentor site leaders, supervisors, and contractors to lift safety standards What You Bring Minimum Cert III in Construction (or WHS equivalent) – Cert IV or Diploma highly regarded Strong background in construction safety, ideally with large contractor/site exposure Knowledge of WHS legislation, systems, and investigations (ICAM experience preferred) Ability to influence and support site leaders and contractors at all levels Current Driver’s Licence and flexibility to travel Early-start mindset (6:30–7:00am workdays, 38-hour week) For more information or to discuss this role and the benefits of working with our client in further detail please contact James Matthews James.matthews@haylopeople.com.au or 040434900.
